The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing dies and tooling to support production operations. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently with a variety of equipment. THIS IS SECOND SHIFT, 3PM-1:30AM, working 4, 10 hour days with the overtime being on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

Build tools and dies from part prints, sketches, reference parts, or instructions.

Operate tool room machinery in a safe manner during the build process.

Perform tool and die repairs on progressive dies, manually operated dies, and tooling.

Diagnose and troubleshoot dies in the bench and make necessary corrections.

Use T.C.O. program reports and last piece references to ensure quality parts.

Support tryout and make-ready for production after die steel or tool installations.

Service die sets and troubleshoot dies in-press, making adjustments as needed using SPC data.

Interface with internal and external customers, participate in problem-solving teams, and address customer or supplier concerns.

Support SPECS, TQM, MOS, and Safety programs; maintain good housekeeping standards.

Initiate corrective action to prevent nonconformities in product, process, or quality system.

Mentor and support Tool & Die Apprentices in daily operations.

Perform other essential functions as assigned.
