Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, furnaces, and heat pumps

Install HVAC equipment and ductwork according to code and project specifications

Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and reliability

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues in both HVAC and refrigeration equipment

Ice machines (cube, flake, nugget)

Soft serve and hard ice cream machines

Frozen beverage machines and commercial blenders

Walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigerated prep tables

Undercounter units and refrigerated display cases

Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with EPA regulations, including charging and recovery

Accurately document service work, diagnostics, and parts used on all jobs

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients about repairs, options, and equipment status

Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours issues as needed

Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and ensure proper care of tools and equipment

Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and industry codes

Requirements

Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems.

Familiarity with equipment repair techniques and property maintenance practices.

Ability to read and interpret schematics related to HVAC design.

Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a van for field service work.

Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Certification in HVAC or relevant technical training is preferred but not mandatory.

Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology.
