Job Responsibilities

Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations through standardized assessments and observational methods.

Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.

Implement individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on varied communication aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.

Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to create unified care strategies.

Deliver educational support to patients and their families to promote progress beyond clinical interactions.

Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to ensure seamless continuity throughout the care journey.

Adhere to accurate documentation standards in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.

Stay updated with industry advancements through continuous education and collaborative initiatives. Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved. Licenses and Certifications

Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment. Required Skills

Expertise in implementing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies for all demographics, coupled with a keen understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Adeptness in adjusting therapy techniques to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical reasoning skills and adept problem-solving capabilities.
