About the role: The warehouse Parts Picker accurately and efficiently retrieves parts from warehouse storage to fulfill customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The warehouse Parts Picker is responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing parts for shipment based on customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Order Picking
Scanning and interpreting pick tickets or electronic picking devices to locate the correct items
Retrieve items from designated storage areas based on order requirements Accuracy and Quality
Ensure the correct items, quantities, and specifications are picked for each order
Check items for damages and defects before picking and reporting any to the supervisor Stock Handling
Use picking machines, pallet jacks, forklifts, or trolleys to retrieve or transport goods
Follow proper procedures for handling fragile, heavy, or hazardous items Inventory Management Support
Assist in maintaining organized and accurate inventory by properly returning unpicked items to storage
Inform supervisors of any inventory discrepancies or low stock levels
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring easy access to parts
Report any discrepancies or damage to inventory to the supervisor Packing and Staging
Place picked items in bins, carts, or pallets for further processing or shipment
Ensure that items are correctly labeled and staged in the correct area for packing or shipping Equipment Operation
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pickers, scanners, handheld devices, or forklifts
Perform essential equipment maintenance or report malfunctions to supervisors Compliance and Safety
Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and protocols, including proper lifting techniques
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for the job Efficiency and Deadlines
Meet productivity and accuracy targets to ensure timely order fulfillment
Work efficiently to minimize delays while maintaining attention to detail Communication
Coordinate with other warehouse staff, including runners, verifiers, and supervisors, to ensure smooth workflows

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must have a valid driver's license and meet annual motor vehicle report standards
Prior warehouse experience can be advantageous
Attention to detail and accuracy crucial
Excellent communication, organizational skills
Basic math skills and the ability to understand quantities and inventory levels
Proficiency with warehouse equipment
