Senior CAD Designer

Your Impact We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical CAD Designer to develop and design cutting-edge drone detection and counter-drone systems.

This role spans the full product lifecycle from concept through production and involves hands-on modeling, analysis, documentation, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.This role demands both technical ability and hands-on design excellence, supporting next-generation RF systems critical to our airspace security solutions.

What You'll Do Location: Onsite in Westerville, Ohio * Perform detailed mechanical design and CAD modeling (SolidWorks) for enclosures, mounts, subsystems, and test fixtures.

* Translate product specifications into high-fidelity CAD models, drawings, and deliverables ensuring accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability * Rapidly prototype components (3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication), iterate designs, and validate with physical testing.

* Perform up front, initial mechanical analyses including tolerance stack-ups and thermal/structural evaluations to ensure design robustness and reliability.

* Identify problems/issues in CAD design/drawings and provide corrective actions What You Bring * B.S.

in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, preferred.

* 7+ years of mechanical CAD design experience in rugged electronics, aerospace, defense, or similar fields.

* Advanced CAD proficiency with SolidWorks and familiarity with GD&T.

* Experience working with MIL-STD or equivalent certifications.

* Experience with designing parts for plastic injection molding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.

Familiarity with PCBA and flexible circuit design.

* Experience with counter-UAS, radar, SIGINT, or defense-oriented RF systems a plus.
