Job Description:

What will you work on?

The National Account Manager manages a portfolio of the company's national accounts ensuring maximisation of performance and profit, seek out opportunities, manage risk, deliver on profitability goals, develop effective long-term business relationships and exceed customer expectations.

How will you create impact?

Developing bi-annual business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs

Maximise account profitability through strategic business planning including: delivery of volume, revenue and margin, creative promotional work and good use of data to provide category solutions

Build innovative sales and marketing led account plans through co-ordination of trade marketing and marketing activity that will maximise Spin Master’s performance within the account, delivering against planned volume, distribution & profit targets

Confidently deliver product presentations, business proposals and marketing plans to customers on time

Understand the customer timelines and proactively provide customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage business effectively

Develop forecasts that best reflect market realities; update forecasts using the analysis tools available e.g. POS, stock and allocations data and promotional plans, on a monthly basis as a minimum. In addition, work closely with the planning team to ensure stock and allocations are available

Continual timely and effective review of actual performance to ensure goals are achieved and adjust plans as necessary with supporting evidence

Manage customer specific budgets and ensure Business Plans and all systems are kept up to date and spend tracked. Ensure all deadlines related to these are met

Analysis of sell through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimising risk

Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers; and provide fast solutions to challenges

Work proactively and effectively with team members to deliver best possible customer service and ensure Spin Master UK is a preferred supplier

Have a thorough understanding of all account business objectives and marketing plans by establishing and nurturing multi-level and cross functional relationships within the account portfolio

Proactively identify challenges and problem solve but know when to escalate issues both internally and with customers

Work closely with accounts to gain joint agreement on objectives for sales growth whilst managing each account selections and samples process

Negotiate at senior level to ensure Spin Master UK Ltd maximises the advantage of long term supply agreements and optimises all elements of the marketing mix

Coach and manage direct report ensuring workload is effectively planned, deadlines are met and development conversations & resulting plans are facilitated

What are your skills and experience?

Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role in the CPG or Toy industry preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related area

Demonstrated success managing national/E-Comm first retailers, UK Toys retailer preferred

Retail Experience either at store level or retail planning experience an asset

Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, Power BI, Salesforce an asset

Customer driven approach and a “go-getter” attitude

Ability to build and maintain relationships, both externally and internally

Demonstrated organization, planning and communication skills

Goal oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence and determination

Ability to create and maintain business presentations, Excel files, read POS reports

Able to travel to the US and other countries as required

Full clean driving license
