Responsibilities and Duties:

Performs safety audits.

Assists or conducts all safety related training.

Performs and/or assists with safety incident investigations as well as OSHA investigations.

Lead the written Hazard Communication (HazCom) program: maintain SDSs, ensure secondary container labeling, and deliver initial/annual training.

Verify machine guarding, point-of-operation protection, and safe use of hand/power tools; correct deficiencies and lock/tag unsafe equipment.

Manage powered industrial truck (forklift) training, evaluations, and refresher triggers; verify pre-use inspections and enforce safe operating procedures.

Implement hearing conservation where exposures meet/ exceed action levels

Ensure first-aid/medical services availability, eyewash/shower where corrosives are present, and required postings

Support recordkeeping and incident analysis to drive corrective actions (OSHA 300/301) and verify required posting.

Monitor workplace activities on a daily basis.

Identifies and reports safety violations, providing recommendations for corrective and disciplinary action.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction industry or a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health.

OSHA 30 Certificate

Job Skills:

Knowledge of Windows based software (Excel, Word) and any e-mail system.

Detail oriented.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Capable of handling confidential information.

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred

Special Requirements:

OSHA 30

Ability to stand for long periods.

Valid driver's license
