We have a vacancy for a dedicated Customer Service Officer to join our team based in Wessem. For this role, you will be processing orders, preparing correspondence and fulfilling customer needs within a busy logistics environment, so excellent communication skills are required along with the ability to think on your feet and work as part of a team.
What You Do On a Typical Day
Be the first point of contact for customer queries — whether it's by phone, email, or face-to-face — and make every interaction a positive one
Investigate and resolve issues with care and efficiency, ensuring our customers feel heard and supported
Keep accurate records of customer interactions, helping us continuously improve how we serve
Use your initiative to handle routine queries and know when to escalate more complex matters
Create clear and helpful documentation when customers need written support or follow-up
Collaborate with managers and teams to suggest improvements and enhance the customer experience
Champion safety by following GXO’s health & safety standards and contributing to a safe workplace for everyone
Support sustainability efforts by helping reduce our environmental impact and contributing to green initiatives
Drive continuous improvement by staying aligned with legal standards and GXO’s commitment to excellence
What You Need To Succeed At GXO
Minimum required education: Intermediate Vocational Education in logistics, supply chain management or equivalent
Knowledge of customer service processes within a logistics environment is required
Strong customer and internal communication skills are a must
Excellent oral and written skills in the English essential, with Dutch desirable
String proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data management, reporting and daily customer service operations
You are communicative, a team player, accurate and stress resistant
