Full-time, fixed-term position from January 2026 through to December 2026

Base salary will be in the range $140,293 - $185,573+ 17% Superannuation (Academic Level C/D). Additional salary loading may apply.

Based at the Bundaberg Hospital.

Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences

The newly established Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences will be an interdisciplinary powerhouse of innovation and collaboration to lead integrated solutions to the needs of the communities we serve locally and globally. UQ offers one of the widest ranges of health and behavioural sciences programs of any Australian university, and the ambition for this new Faculty will be to will be to leverage its unified suite of esteemed schools, institutes and centres to unlock opportunities within UQ and with external partners

As Deputy Head of the Wide Bay Learning Community (Years 2–4), you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of medical students in the MD Program at our Bundaberg Regional Clinical Unit. You will help foster a culture of inclusivity and belonging for both students and staff, ensuring that every individual has the chance to contribute and grow.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to 31st December 2026 at a Level C/D to commensurate to your experience. As a full-time academic up to 0.2FTE of clinical sessions may be negotiable.
