Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

Designs mechanical systems, components, and assemblies based on customer specifications and project requirements.

Prepares detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and bills of materials (BOM) using CAD tools.

Evaluates and selects materials, components, and manufacturing methods to ensure cost efficiency and product quality.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality to ensure designs are feasible and meet safety and performance standards.

Conducts design reviews and risk assessments to mitigate potential failures.

Assists in prototyping, testing, and validation of new products and processes.

Provides technical support and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuously seeks improvements in design and production processes for enhanced productivity and efficiency.

Works and collaborates with global team members in the Engineering division at the Netherlands HQ.

Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time. Qualifications:

Experience with CAD tools, i.e., Inventor or Solidworks, is a must.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong communication and organizational skills, and able to lift and move heavy equipment and materials (below 10kgs.).

Highly motivated and a great team player, with ability to manage/lead multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Applicants must be willing to work in Bajada, Davao City. Education and Experience:

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with PRC license;

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, problem resolution, and installation; and

Experience in designing and updating as-built plans, with proven track record of successfully resolving mechanical issues and implementing solutions.
