Hiring Opportunity: Columbus OH

Our client is looking to hire an Structural Engineer in the Columbus OH area! Our client is a leader in planning, engineering and development for the rail, marine, and inland terminal industries.

Qualified Candidates have a Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution, experience being a structural engineer, knowledge of industrial systems, material handling support systems, marine supports, AutoCAD, knowledge of applicable codes, regulations and construction methods.

Candidates would be responsible for all phases of the design process, from conceptualization to implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

- Prepare criteria, computations/analyses, specifications, drawings/sketches, cost estimates, and technical

reports for the layout of structures and equipment in industrial and bulk material handling facilities.

- Perform calculations, including sizing various land and marine support structures. Proficiency and

experience modeling structures in STAAD or RISA is required.

- Select and apply engineering techniques and principles to analyze and evaluate specific structures, data, or

other features of projects that are potentially broad in scope and complexity.

- Be able to author, review, comment, and finalize project specifications and reports.

- Provide technical quality reviews and ensure adherence to quality control processes, codes, specifications,

and standards.

- Assist designers and drafters in designing facility structural and marine systems to ensure the design

conformance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

- Conduct site visits to gather information, assess feasibility, and monitor construction progress.

- Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, including other engineering disciplines, designers, and

contractors.

- Research applicable codes and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Stay updated with current trends, technologies, and best practices in engineering and design.

- Participate and/or manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and/or

budgetary constraints.

- Prepare proposals, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for engineering projects

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor"s or master"s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.

- Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience.

- Expertise/ knowledge of industrial systems, material handling support systems, and marine supports

- Must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD; 3D CAD skills are a bonus.

- Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and construction methods.

- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Proven time management and organizational skills.
