Job Description

Allied Universal is looking to hire a Midwest Regional Training Manager. This position is responsible for creating, implementing and managing training department products and systems; for organizing and delivering field training events; for maintaining internal and external customer relations and service; and for working on any special projects to support the national training department’s organizational objectives, including managing compliance for the Shopping Mall SAFETY Act Designation program and providing support services to the AU Field Training Department.

Salary Range = $62,000-$74,000

Candidates must have at least (2) two Instructor Certificates to be eligible:

MOAB/CPI

First Aid/CPR/AED

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create, implement and manage high quality training products and systems, operational programs and systems and any other training department products as needed.

Manage third party relationships as assigned (e.g., training providers, service providers, etc.).

Obtain and maintain training and security related credentials (e.g., instructor certifications, organization memberships, professional certifications) as directed.

Organize and deliver training and professional development events as directed.

Comply accurately, promptly and efficiently with all Universal Protection Service policies and administrative requirements.

Work within project management processes and, when required, manage projects.

Perform any requested tasks in support of the national training objectives.

Maintain internal and external customer relations to result in customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Some college education or business classes desirable.

Minimum three (3) – five (5) years of professional-level experience required. Thorough understanding of the private security industry and operations, especially security concepts, skills and techniques

Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.

Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines. Must be highly organized and able to keep on track with required information available at all times.

This position requires excellent attendance and punctuality. Incumbents must commit to being on time, must be able to work in a very independent environment, and ensure all responsibilities are completed on time. Periodic travel, including overnight and extended stay, is required.

Ability to write technical manuals, high quality and engaging training products, review and respond to written requests for proposals, and prepare extensive presentations is required. Must be highly proficient and fully functional in Microsoft programs such as Word and PowerPoint are essential, and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology including PDAs, Outlook and internet applications.

Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills required. Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player.

Must customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the normal course of day-to-day activities to schedule appointments in order to carry out responsibilities. Must consistently demonstrate personal integrity and trustworthiness.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in the fire service, security industry, law enforcement and/or military highly desired.
