Job Description: Project Manager - Federal Grant and Loan Application Support

Experience:

3 years of qualified experience as a PROJECT MANAGER ASSC (Grade 6) preferred, OR demonstrated competencies, knowledge, and skillset through achieved results in a shorter timeline.

Qualified experience includes outage management activities, business administration, major construction field experience, project estimating, controls, and engineering, and/or comparable experience in a competitive production environment.

Knowledge in construction safety, negotiations, scope development/control, cost estimating, construction contracting, project controls/reporting, and quality control is beneficial.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to assist in federal grant and loan application submission efforts.

The ideal candidate will support the Grant Submittal Manager and the LPO Contract Manager in various project management activities.

This role involves the coordination of various tasks and responsibilities, the management of project timelines, and the diligent tracking of progress to ensure that all activities related to grant and loan applications are completed on schedule.

The Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the workflow, monitoring milestones, conducting follow-ups with team members, and ensuring that each task is executed within the agreed-upon timelines.

By maintaining a clear focus on deadlines and deliverables, the Project Manager will assist in the facilitation of a seamless submission process, ultimately contributing to the successful acquisition of federal funding. This involves not only ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted accurately but also fostering communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

Additionally, the Project Manager will implement best practices in project management to streamline operations, mitigate potential risks, and adapt to any challenges that may arise during the application process.

Through proactive engagement and effective resource management, this role will be pivotal in driving the overall success of grant and loan applications, reinforcing our commitment to meeting federal guidelines and achieving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of federal grant and loan application tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and agreed upon timelines.

Documentation Management: Collaborate with the Grant Submittal Manager to gather, organize, and maintain all necessary documentation for grant and loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Timeline Management: Develop and maintain project timelines, tracking milestones and deliverables to ensure timely submission of applications.

Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the application process.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges that may arise during the application processes.

Reporting: Prepare regular updates and reports on project status, highlighting any issues or delays and proposing solutions to keep the project on track.

Support Grant Submittal Manager: Provide administrative and project support to the Grant Submittal Manager in preparing and submitting grant applications.

Support LPO Contract Manager: Provide administrative and project support to the Federal Loan Manager in preparing and submitting Federal Loan applications.

Experience: project management experience, preferably in grant writing or federal funding applications.

Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Knowledge: Familiarity with federal grant and loan application processes, as well as relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Additional Information:

This position may require occasional travel for meetings and project-related activities.

The Project Manager will work closely with various departments and external stakeholders to ensure the successful submission of federal grant and loan applications.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, or related field of study with 3 years of qualified experience, or a two-year Associate's degree in the same disciplines with 5 years of qualified experience.

License/Certification: Valid driver's license required.

Additional Requirements:

1. Individuals will be progressively assigned the PM lead role on a project for continued development depending on the level of knowledge, experience, and leadership competency including successful completion of certification.

2. Develop and provide effective leadership, team building and meeting management skills as outlined by certifying body and the Client leadership competencies and values. Develop confidence in ability, and demonstrate the motivation and attitude, to lead a team and a project to successful conclusion.

3. Develop understanding and apply economic analysis techniques. Develop an acumen for the business and profession with an emphasis on overall cost, schedule and risk management.

4. Develop understanding of the Engineering & Design, Procurement, Contracting, Estimating, Construction and Startup procedures and processes.
