Job Opportunity: Med Surg Orthopedics RN

Position Details

We are currently seeking a Med Surg Orthopedics RN for a 12-hour night shift position. This role involves a mix of orthopedic (60%) and general medical (40%) nursing responsibilities. The assignment is set to start on December 1st and will consist of a duration of 91 weeks.

Job Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.

BLS certification required.

Travel experience is required.

Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.

Active Virginia / Compact License required at the time of submission.

All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.

Shift Information

12-hour night shifts, with assignments ending on Saturday.

Orientation sessions are held every other week on Mondays.

Must be available to work 2 out of 3 holidays; block scheduling cannot be accommodated.

Shifts may require working 2 out of 3 weekends per month based on unit needs.

RTO is limited and should be included in the application packet.

Assignments are subject to cancellation up to 36 hours in advance due to census fluctuations.
