Responsibilities may include:
Support and mentor small groups of high school students to develop skills necessary for entering the workforce, such as professional development and soft skills training.
Train and supervise students who may have developmental disabilities to acquire the skills needed to perform specific job tasks, work routines and personal life habits.
Assist students in performing their work responsibilities in a way that fosters independence, develop natural supports and help to ensure retention.
Provide daily job skills training with a focus on community employment and inclusion.
Requirements for this position include:
Experience within the field of special education, developmental disabilities or in a youth-centered field is preferred.
Professional, responsible, mature, and flexible.
Knowledge of food industry, retail, and hospitality services preferred.
Professionally maintain daily documentation.
