Job Title: Custodian- Full and Part Time Job Code: 30932 Revised: 02/21/17, 12/17/2019, 4/13/2020, 9/16/2025 Page 1-1 Description: Provide a clean and healthy environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by performing a variety of custodial duties related to the routine cleaning and maintenance of the college campus.
Major Duties: * Perform a variety of duties such as strip & wax floors, cleaning outdoor signage, park benches, replacing light bulbs, moving furniture, chairs, tables, lights, podiums for special events and college functions.
* Operates restroom machines, floor scrubbers (ride-on & walk behind) mops, vacuum cleaners, blowers, brooms and buffers, ariel lifts etc.
* Clear debris from storm drains, traps, sidewalks, steps and porches of buildings.
* Window and screen cleaning to include use of pressure washer and/or water hoses with attachments.
* Perform a variety of duties related to the job, such as painting, moving furniture, chairs, tables, lights, podiums for special events and college functions.
* Other duties as assigned.
Competencies: * Oral, written and basic computer skills/knowledge * Must be able to work independently * Must be flexible * Knowledge of safety guidelines * Knowledge of stripping and waxing floors * Skill in the use of basic hand tools, cleaning tools, etc.
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals (MSDS) to include how they are used and react when mixed Driver's License Requirement: Valid GA Driver License Physical Demands: * Ability to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 75 lbs.
unassisted), bending, standing, climbing and walking * Ability to withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
