Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio School Safety Center Report In Location - 1970 W Broad Street, Columbus 43223 Under administrative direction of assigned manager in the Ohio School Safety Center, act as project leader & subject matter expert (SME) to assist in the planning, coordinating, monitoring & assessment of school emergency management plans & tests; * Aid in &/or conduct school security & vulnerability assessments; * Conduct outreach & assessments, review security plans & prepared documents for assigned State/Public/Private facilities &/or properties to include emergency operation plans for compliance with state and federal statutes; * Inform manager & Ohio School Safety Center Executive Director of real &/or potential infrastructure security issues that could adversely affect Ohio schools & higher education institutions (Public & Private), properties & citizens; * Assist in the development of best practice guides & marketing for emergency management for K-12 & higher education; * Provide research on school safety emergency management exercise & planning best practices for the purpose of information sharing & developing tools for Ohio schools & universities; * Assist with developing & implementing trainings; * Assist with the annual school safety summit development & implementation; * Assist with information gathering for annual school safety reports & quarterly newsletters; * Participate in deployments to the field for events & critical incidents in order to support school safety & security operations; * Support to the overall management, administration & education of the various systems used by Ohio School Safety Center to include the safety plans portal; * Assist with marketing & education of other school safety resources & programs; * Acquire and maintain Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Part 107 license to utilize with the Ohio School Safety Center Drone Program to assist schools with site plan development.
