We're currently hiring a Workday Extend Lead to help drive the evolution of Workday across the institution.
You'll lead the charge in building and supporting custom Workday Extend applications and frameworks that optimize operations and enhance services for thousands of faculty, staff, and student workers.
Role Highlights: Lead the UW Workday Extend strategy-develop the practice from the ground up Design, build, and support scalable Workday Extend apps using SDLC best practices Collaborate with technical teams, QA, and stakeholders across all UW campuses Guide junior developers, lead code reviews, and support enterprise-wide Workday releases Be a key part of a mission-oriented, inclusive, and forward-thinking IT community What You'll Bring: 4+ years' experience building Workday Extend apps or equivalent enterprise platforms Proficiency with platform development, integrations (REST, JSON, XML), and enterprise SaaS (ideally HCM/Finance) Solid knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring skills A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement Desired: Workday Extend Pro Certification Experience in higher ed or shared services environments Familiarity with Workday business processes and compliance controls Why UW-IT?
