Employment in this part-time position is contingent upon the funding provided and may be restricted-funded.
The Continuing Education or Training for Existing Business and Industry Instructor is responsible for the instruction and related activities for all assigned classes.
SALARY: Continuing Education and Training for Existing Business and Industry Instructors are paid on the LBWCC local Salary Schedule L based upon the hourly rate designated for each specialty area class.
Rates for each specialty area class normally range from $30.00 per hour to $52.00 per hour.
Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements may be compensated on a pro-rata basis or cancelled at the discretion of the college.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities * The Continuing Education or Training for Existing Business and Industry Instructor will teach classes as assigned.
Classes may be scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, and at specified locations.
* Work collaboratively with the Associate Dean to provide a maximum quality of instruction and learning environment.
* Ensure a safe environment for student learning and participation.
* Confer with the Associate Dean regarding supplies, equipment, and/or technology necessary for instruction and submit requests as needed.
* Review and recommend appropriate revision of curriculum periodically as requested.
* Assist in the development of class offerings as requested.
* Maintain all records as needed for the class including the roster; dispense and submit necessary reports and class data in a timely manner.
* Maintain professional conduct in dealing with students, staff, administration, faculty, and the College community.
* Adhere to and assist in enforcing all College policies.
* Assist College personnel in the recruitment of students when possible.
* Provide students with feedback concerning their progress in the class on a regular and as-needed basis.
* Attend meetings as required.
* Maintain the appropriate professional licensure and/or certification as appropriate and applicable.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Continuing Education and Training for Existing Business and Industry Instructors must have prior experience in the specialty area of the class and if applicable must possess valid and current certifications or licenses for the specialty area of the class.
