Responsibilities

Data Architecture and Product Design: Design and maintain a scalable data product and architecture that meets business goals while ensuring security, compliance, and performance. Document data structures, integration, and data flow between systems, applications, and services.

Contributing to Technology & Innovation strategy by eliciting needs from business lines and aligning with Thales Group initiatives.

Data Integration & Pipeline Management: Collaborate with project teams to integrate data from various sources; lead design, development, and optimization of data pipelines for smooth data flow across systems.

Technology & Tool Selection: Work with system operators to capture key value and pain points; evaluate and select tools and platforms for data pipelines, ensuring long-term scalability, performance, and security. Stay informed on emerging trends in data integration, architecture, and governance.

System Security, Monitoring, & Optimization: Develop frameworks for monitoring and optimizing data systems; implement dashboards and monitoring to track health and performance, proactively addressing issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science or related field.

Strong experience in data architecture, data modeling, data integration, and design of data pipelines.

Expertise in cloud-based platforms, data management, and enterprise application integration.

Experience collaborating with IT, Innovation, and data teams to align data solutions with business objectives.

Ability to stay current with the latest trends in data system architecture and integration technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in modern tools and technologies for data integration, pipeline management, and system performance monitoring.

Architecture frameworks (e.g., DNDAF, TOGAF, DoDAF, NAF).

Experience with military contexts (ideally Navy).

Experience with enterprise systems/ERPs such as SAP or IBM Maximo.

Experience with artificial intelligence techniques and toolsets.

Special Position Requirements

Travel: Occasional travel to the East or West Coast.
