Summary We are seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to serve as Substitute Para Educators in a variety of positions in our educational settings.

The ideal candidates will support teachers and assist students in their learning processes, ensuring a positive and productive environment.

Lunch/Recess Assistant - Work approximately 2 hours per day - $15.00/hour Summary: Main responsibility is to provide assistance to children during the lunch period.

This person must supervise children to ensure a positive safe environment for children to eat and enjoy recess.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

● Supervises students at playtime and lunchtime and maintains a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts.

● Assist students with their lunches (i.e.

opening milk, condiments, etc.). ● Clean and sanitize café tables between each classroom and at the end of the lunch period according to Health Dept.

Standards ● Directs movement of groups to and from playground, lunchroom, and classrooms during lunch periods in a safe and organized manner.

● The employee will occasionally work inside and essentially must be able to work outside for recess period and must maintain appropriate wearing apparel for the position.

Special Education Bus Aide - $15.00/hour split shift - hours vary but are approximately 6:30am-9:00am and 2:15pm-5:00p.m.

Summary: To assist bus drivers in providing safe transportation of special needs students to and from designated locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ● Direct responsibility for the safety and well-being of others.

● Assist driver in the operation of lifts for wheelchairs and assist disabled students.

● Maintains good student conduct on the bus.

● Transfers and secures special equipment that may accompany the student.

● Is alert to any conditions in the loading and unloading area which present a danger to students.

● Assist driver with seating chart of assigned student riders ● Reports passenger misconduct to driver for the purpose of documentary activities.

● Place & Secure students who require special safety apparatus.

● Assists bus driver in the cleaning of bodily fluids Classroom Assistant - School Hours - $16.25/hour Summary: Assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

* Assists in small group pupil instruction; tutors pupils at teacher's request.

* Assists with the setup of the classroom and prepared materials for specialized instructional units.

* May meet student(s) as they arrive and/or stay with student(s) until they depart from school grounds.

* Assist students with assigned work in the general education classrooms * Assistant may repeat classroom directions as necessary.

* Communicate pupil's task completion to teacher(s). * Facilitate communication.

* Monitor and report behavior/work performance to the teacher.

* Assist teacher in non-instructional classroom activities.

* Observe student behavior and follow the teacher's direction to correct inappropriate student behavior.

* Take notes on behavior management * May assist in meeting the physical needs and demands of the student in the non-instructional setting.

* May accompany designated student(s) and provide assistance as needed during activities outside the classroom including, but not limited to, physical education, music, library, art, lunch, recess, accessing transportation to and from school, and special programs and assemblies.

Special Education Aide - One-to-One and LRE - $16.25/hour Summary: Assistants shall work under the supervision of the teacher and assist in the special education students' daily educational and/or behavioral program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: May include but are not limited to:. ● May regularly lift up to 40 lbs.

and/ or push over 100 lbs.

● Understand and be aware of the medical needs of students.

● Assist with behavior management and techniques.

● May meet student(s) as they arrive and/or stay with student(s) until they depart from school grounds.

● Assist students with assigned work in the general education classrooms ● Assistant may repeat classroom directions as necessary.

● Communicate pupil's task completion to teacher(s). ● Facilitate communication.

● Monitor and report behavior/work performance to the student's Special Ed teacher.

● Assist teacher in non-instructional classroom activities.

● Observe student behavior and follow the teacher's direction to correct inappropriate student behavior.

● Assist in meeting the physical needs and demands of the student in the non-instructional setting.

● Accompany designated student(s) and provide assistance as needed during activities outside the classroom including, but not limited to, physical education, music, library, art, lunch, recess, accessing transportation to and from school, and special programs and assemblies.

● May need to feed or help students feed themselves ● May assist student(s) with toileting needs Responsibilities * Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.

* Support students with special needs and diverse learning requirements, fostering an inclusive environment.

* Monitor student progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as needed.

* Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.

* Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing materials and documenting student progress.

* Engage students in learning activities and promote positive social interactions.

* Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents regarding student needs and progress.

* Follow school policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

* Willing to Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in education or child development preferred.

* Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

* Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.

* - Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students and teachers.

* Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
