Respiratory Therapist

Cary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. In this vital role, you'll perform a wide range of procedures related to Respiratory Care and Cardiac Diagnostics, delivering high-quality care to patients across all departments.

Essential Duties, but not limited to:
Perform respiratory care evaluations in a timely manner and make appropriate recommendations for therapy; and recommendations to the physician regarding alternate modalities when the patient is unable to tolerate or comprehend the prescribed therapy.
Administer therapy with supplies and equipment that are appropriate to the age, development and comfort of the patient.
Communicate effectively with patents of all ages and degrees of illness .
Respiratory therapy modalities are administered according to standard department procedure.
Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic modalities; make recommendations to physicians regarding alternative methods of therapy, when appropriate.
Requirements
License Requirements:
CRT, Certified Respiratory Therapist (National Board for Respiratory Care)
Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of Maine as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
Availability Requirements:
Depending on department staffing needs, you may be asked to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Also must take call on a rotating basis with other staff members.
Education, Skills, Experience:
Completion of technical or trade program.
Graduate of JRCRTE accredited therapist program.
Computer skills required as related to diagnostic equipment.
Must maintain BLS certification.
