Job Summary The Admissions Processor, reporting directly to the Associate Director of Admissions for Operations, is responsible for processing admission applications, transcripts, test scores and correspondence for new, re-enrolling, and transfer students.
Primary duties include rendering admissions decisions, outreach and assessing international student applications for Georgia Gwinnett College.
The Admissions Processor plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first-class customer service.
The incumbent participates in divisional activities as a member of the Enrollment Management Services Division.
Collaborative and team-oriented skills with a commitment to student success is essential attributes for the individual in this position.
Position may require a College-issued uniform or shirt to ensure employees engaged in representing the College to the community are clearly identified as such.
Responsibilities * Processes applications for incoming students * Updates and maintains student records and databases using Banner and Ellucian CRM Recruit * Scans, indexes, and processes all admission documents * Evaluates courses and recalculates grade point averages for transcripts * Maintains admission checklists for on-line application status tool * Communicates with applicants during application life cycle * Determines the eligibility for admission and renders admission decisions in accordance with policies * Reviews on a continuous basis assigned application dashboards to facilitate application completion * Works closely with admissions counselors and other enrollment management services regarding applicants' admission status; performs other work-related duties as directed Required Qualifications * High School or GED Preferred Qualifications * 2 Year / Associate Degree * Previous experience with Banner and Ellucian CRM * Previous higher education experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * Ability to work with minimal supervision with strong work ethics * Skills with oral and written communication, organizational and time management * Ability to be technologically proficient, including Microsoft Office and other software applications * Knowledge of computer data entry * Ability to learn quickly, work efficiently, and accurately under set deadlines * Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced office environment * Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment and to maintain confidentiality * Ability and willingness to participate in projects that support the enrollment goals of the institution * Ability to be a team player willing to embrace the concept of continuous improvement USG Core Values The University System of Georgia is comprised of our 26 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
