Job Summary:

The Behavioral Therapist will provide mental health counseling services, eliminating the accessibility barrier to mental health care. In addition, as a Behavioral Health Specialist, will provide skill training through psychoeducation and patient education strategies and will develop specific behavioral change plans for patients and behavioral health protocols for target populations. Works with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health; may help individuals deal with addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; suicide; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging and mental, physical and emotional health using Evidenced Based Treatments. In addition, the Behavioral Health Specialist is part of a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team and is expected to be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the PCMH.

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

Provides clinically based RBHS services designed to enhance the behavioral, social and emotional development.

Manage assigned caseload (Provide ongoing therapy).

Complete psychosocial assessments.

Complete contact notes for completed sessions documentation.

Development of person-centered treatment plans when necessary.

Qualification, Education, and Experience:

SC Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

SC Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

SC Licensed Independent Social Workers - Clinical Practice.

SC Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW).

SC Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) - "Not Enrolled".

SC Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) - "Not Enrolled".

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, and Psychology or in a closely related field required.

Clinical experience or appropriate intern and or practical experience.

Experience in diagnosing behavior/emotional problems.
