Join Our Contaminated Land Team based in Brisbane
We’re looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to support and lead the delivery of contaminated land and broader environmental projects in Queensland and nationally. This role is perfect for someone with 7-10 years' experience who wants more ownership, variety, and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
Work on challenging and rewarding projects across Australia, Asia-Pacific, Canada and the United States that contribute to better environmental outcomes
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and senior staff
Leading delivery of PSIs, DSIs, RAPs for complex urban renewal, precinct level design and remediation projects (we are working on some of Queensland’s most complex remediation projects at present!)
Overseeing complex fieldwork tasks, including soil, groundwater, surface water and vapour sampling
Preparing technical reports and client deliverables
Leading proposal preparation and project costing
Liaising with clients, subcontractors and regulators
What You’ll Need
Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or related discipline
7-10 years’ consulting experience in contaminated land
Industry certification (CEnvP or CPSS) or keen interest to pursue this
Solid understanding of QLD and national environmental frameworks (NEPM, EP Act, etc.)
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Confidence in the field, with an eye for detail and technical excellence
A team-first attitude and a proactive mindset
Willingness to learn from others at all career levels
Desire to ask questions and think critically about technical matters
Interest in developing your career!
