Pay: $25.00–$33.00 per hour

Job Summary:

As a Meter Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and replacement of water meters and transmitters at both residential and commercial properties throughout Airdrie, Olds, and various locations across Alberta, with occasional work in other provinces. You will ensure all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards while providing excellent customer service.

Training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform your duties effectively. This role also offers opportunities to develop new skills related to advanced metering technologies and installation techniques, enhancing your expertise and career potential within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and Maintain Meters

Perform the installation, maintenance, and updates of meters and transmitters according to scheduled appointments and service orders.Customer Interaction

Interact professionally with customers, explaining the installation process and addressing any concerns.Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety protocols and ensure installations meet relevant codes and standards.Documentation

Accurately document your work through digital data entry on handheld devices and submit reports as required.Manage Appointments

Independently manage assigned appointments to ensure tasks are completed on time.Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.

Availability for out-of-town projects.

Criminal background check required.

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with tools.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Comfortable with digital tools and data entry.

Plumbing knowledge/experience is an asset.Working Conditions:

Full-time Position: Shifts typically run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, including some Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Diverse Environments: Work will take place in various weather conditions and indoor settings, including both residential and commercial properties.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and regularly perform activities such as standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.What We Offer:
