A DAY IN THE LIFE

Reporting to the Director of Instrumentation & Controls, this role supports the development of innovative, effective, and safe products addressing emerging contaminants in the environment. As a key member of the instrumentation & controls team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

Assist in creating, reviewing, and interpreting engineering design drawings and specifications.

Contribute to our safety-first culture by consistently prioritizing safe work practices.

Develop base-level PLC and Operator Interface Terminal (OIT) software based on project requirements under the guidance of a Senior I&C Engineer.

Utilize AutoCAD (preferred) for redlines and project close-out documentation.

Draft technical content for project communications and reports.

Perform construction and fabrication oversight with partner fabrication shops and customer contractors.

Create and maintain Excel control tables, bills of materials (BOMs), and control sequencing logic.

Coordinate procurement of mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical components; interface with vendors for technical details, pricing, and lead times.

Support Fortinet configuration and commissioning for remote connectivity and data reporting on projects.

Occasionally support fabrication, inspection and/or quality control of our control panel builds.

Travel domestically and internationally 20–50% of the time to support projects.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

1–3+ years of experience in process or controls engineering.

Experience or training in SCADA programming and instrumentation selection.

Proficiency with AutoCAD.

Interest in pursuing Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
