A DAY IN THE LIFE
Reporting to the Director of Instrumentation & Controls, this role supports the development of innovative, effective, and safe products addressing emerging contaminants in the environment. As a key member of the instrumentation & controls team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Prioritize and exemplify a commitment to our safety culture.
Interface with customers and partners, acting as a representative during startup and pilot/full scale system operations support.
Travel as needed, domestically and internationally, to support project teams in the delivery of products to our customers. Expected travel up to 50% of the time.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and controls systems using schematics and PLC controller software.
Install and maintain process control instruments.
Repair, test, adjust, or install electronic equipment such as industrial controls, transmitters, HMI, VFD and PLCs. Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components.
Lead Factory Acceptance Testing of instrumentation and controls components of our systems.
Support reliability and uptime of our operated treatment systems, including:
Cellular/wired internet communications
VNC and VPN Remote access services
SCADA system preventative maintenance (Windows admin/ data backups/ software maintenance/ security)
PLC/SCADA remote troubleshooting
Site visits to US locations for routine PM or troubleshooting
Process data collection and reporting activities
Work directly with operators, technical specialists, and engineering staff to troubleshoot field issues
Support other specialty IT/OT initiatives
Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience with Allen-Bradley platforms, HMI/SCADA
Experience with Siemens Step7 & TIA Portal is a plus.
Experience with VFDs and industry standard flow/pressure/level instrumentation
Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel
Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities
