Job Summary
Technology Platforms is a critical and foundational enabling function within Digital & IT that delivers seamless user centric, Infrastructure & Operational services to the business in conjunction with the business partnering domains and wider shared services functions.
Technology Platforms manages and delivers a significant and complex portfolio, designing, building, implementing, running and maintaining technology platforms and services for IT, Business and Customer funded technology programmes. Technology Platforms is also accountable for the day to day run and maintain of the global IT landscape, managing IT operating costs and supplier contractual adherence and performance.
Reporting to the SVP Technology Platforms, this is a pivotal senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving the strategy, design and continuous improvement of all IT-related touchpoints that impact end user service and clients. This role ensures seamless, efficient and engaging end user experience for employees, aligning business objectives and user expectations
What you will be doing
The role has end-to-end accountability for a broad portfolio of client-facing IT services, including laptops, desktops, collaboration tools, Citrix, VDI, identity and access management, client services, Microsoft Exchange, and client applications.

Provide end-to-end ownership of the following services:
End User Devices: Laptops, desktops, mobile device management
Collaboration & Productivity: Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange
Virtual Platforms: Citrix, VDI environments
Identity & Access Management: Authentication, provisioning, and lifecycle management
Client Applications: Core business applications used by end users
Client Services: Active Directory, MECM
All enabling infrastructure
Working in conjunction with the Enterprise Architecture community define and lead the vision and roadmap for client and end user experience across all IT services and platforms, ensuring outcomes are delivered in line with the D&IT Strategy
Manage and delivery a large portfolio of projects and programmes, IT for IT, business and Customer funded, ensuring portfolio prioritisation and delivery to time, cost and quality
Manage the pipeline of work for suppliers, ensuring clear requirements from Rolls-Royce and timely, high-quality delivery
Deliver an exceptional end user experience focussed on understanding the business needs and end user expectations. Actively engage and communicate with the end user communities
Own and be accountable for end user services IT Operating costs, continuously delivering cost transparency and optimisation
Accountable for End User services supplier management and performance – executing diligent contract, commercial and supplier management that continually delivers tangible benefits and robust outcomes for the business. Monitor service delivery against agreed SLAs, initiating service improvement plans or applying service credits where necessary.
Continually ensuring that Cyber & Data Security of our solutions is at the forefront of everything we that we build and maintain
Management and control end user services related IT risks and audits, with clear drive for the achievement of Global Compliance Standards

Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing sectors
Strong leadership skills to direct cross-functional global teams and collaborate across all functional groups within Digital & IT and across the business
Demonstrable experience of working in a complex, multi-faceted and large-scale Portfolio environment
Demonstrable experience of programme and portfolio delivery Extensive financial management experience
The ability to work with and communicate effectively across all levels within the organisation - exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders, including executives and business leaders
Strong ability to influence others through reasoned discussion and clear articulation
Critical thinking and analytical skills to resolve complex, ambiguous issues
Strong attention to detail with meticulous organisational skills to manage schedules, documentation, and reporting
Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience of managing supplier governance, contract compliance, and service level performance
Expertise in ITIL service management, and agile methodologies
The role will require UK SC clearance as a minimum
