Within the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Office of Field Operations, provide general secretarial assistance to Aviation & Special Response Team (SRT) Commanders &/or other section officers by performing routine administrative tasks\:
Independently provide explanation, orally &/or in writing, of Division &/or section duties & responsibilities; Research & respond to inquiries &/or complaints from general public, government officials, administrators &/or other staff;
Maintain computerized reports & databases; Update training records for SRT units;
Schedule court cases & de-conflict cases that overlap with other details;
Schedule & dispatch missions & arrange for supplemental resources when needed;
Serve as liaison between OSHP & the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) on administrative duties related to the facility & operations;
Serve as liaison between OSHP & other federal, state, & local law enforcement agencies;
Schedule & coordinate agency-based or out-of-state contracted training;
Act as first point-of-contact for entrance into the Ohio State University (OSU) Hangar, which includes, vetting, reception, & processing requests for information to get individuals to the right department within the hangar;
Coordinate & facilitate OSHP events at the OSU Hangar;
Maintain & update section-issued motor vehicle fleet files, to include biennial inspections, service invoicing & fuel &/or car wash receipts;
Coordinate maintenance schedules for equipment, to include shipping & receiving equipment;
Maintain office/hangar supply orders, to include sourcing, placing orders, & receiving & distribution;
Coordinate & assist with supply orders related to personnel uniforms (i.e., division &/or section-specific issued clothing & accessories, etc.;
Edit visual media, including video &/or photos, for internal & external distribution;
Receive, enter & track fleet related invoices &/or purchase requests for SRT;
Maintain records retention practices, & knowledge of policies & procedures for retention;
Assist with maintaining contracts specific to the section;
Submit facility service requests &/or requests for maintenance of office equipment;
Perform other related duties as assigned.
