Qualifications
Nursing home clerical experience
Proficient in Office applications, good with computer programs
Prior experience as HR/Scheduler/Staffing Coordinator in nursing home setting
Knowledge of staffing ratios and budgets and HPPD
Peoples' person - team builder - someone who puts the "human" into Human Resources

Responsibilities
Be the face of the company at the facility level for all staff, from pre-hire to retire. A true Director of Human Resources (HR) and scheduler would encounter these tasks on a daily basis:
HR Human Resources Role
Responsible for job postings, reaching out to applicants consistently and timely to ensure success in hiring
Vetting and onboarding potential hires
Responsible for all employee paperwork and entering employee information into the HR portal, in addition to adding them to timeclock and monitoring compliance with punches
Maintaining compliance as it relates to employee file – exclusion checks, license checks, audits: to ensure accurate and complete compliance
Benefits coordinator
WC Coordinator
SUI Coordinator
Main resource for company policy as it relates to employment
Review timecards and make final edits prior to payroll deadlines
Assist department heads with disciplinary process
Employee appreciation and other retention programs
Scheduler/Staffing Coordinator Role
Maintain a consistent master schedule that efficiently allocates time slots in a recurring pattern based on facility staffing budgets and needs
Proactively seek cost efficient plugs to holes in the schedule
Agency (when needed)
Posting needs in advance to get reliable staff
Cancelling staff after filling holes with in house staff
Reviewing / auditing agency timecards (and timecards for all nursing)
Reconciling schedule, timecard, invoice
Adding agency profiles to HRIS if a new clinician
Daily reconciliation of all scheduled and worked time in the nursing department and data entry for manual edits
