We are currently recruiting a Cook / Chef to join our team at Whitchurch School, Penlline Road, Whitchurch, CF14 2XJ

Annual salary of £17,000 (equated pay)

Full time – 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm

39 working weeks out of the year, term time only

What you'll be doing

Prepare and cook a variety of food following recipe cards

Supporting manager with stock takes and ordering

Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment

Ensure food is correctly stored according to food safety policies and guidelines

Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and utensils

Use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables and other food

Present and garnish food and portions according to guidelines

Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers and co workers

Assisting in the compilation of all shift opening and closing checklists

Experience

Relevant culinary qualification

DBS checks required

Previous experience as a cook or a similar role is required

E learning is available through our online learning system to obtain Food Safety Level 2/3 certificate
