We are currently looking for a Casual Chef to work with our integral team at Redford Barracks, Edinburgh.

Starting from £13 per hour

Casual zero hour contracts – work as and when required!

Shifts ranging from 6am – 9pm, Monday - Sunday

What you’ll be doing:

Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Supporting with food orders

Running Stand alone camp kitchens

Cooking for cadet training camps.

Loading and unloading of food stores.

Liaising with members of the cadet training camps.

Liaising with STC Management Team

Check all food is compliant with allergens

Assisting with deliveries and stock checks

Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals

Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence

Assisting in maintaining kitchen records

To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries.

Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans

Full knowledge of all menu items served

Experience/Qualifications

Relevant culinary qualification

Previous experience in a similar role

Allergen awareness

Excellent team player and communicator
