Audit Director
Position Overview
The Audit Director will oversee the audit department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. This role involves leading audit engagements, managing a team of auditors, and developing strategic plans to enhance audit processes, particularly within non-profit, manufacturing, and distribution sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the audit team, providing guidance and mentorship to staff members.
Plan, execute, and oversee audit engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables within established timelines.
Review and approve audit reports, identifying key findings and recommendations for improvement.
Develop and implement audit strategies that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit issues and improve operational efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to auditing and compliance.
Manage relationships with external auditors and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is required.
A minimum of 7 years of audit experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in the non-profit, manufacturing, or distribution industries is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Proven ability to lead and develop audit teams effectively.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
