Job Summary:
TruCut Incorporated is seeking an experienced Stamping Tool & Die Repair to join our skilled trades team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining progressive and transfer dies used in high-speed stamping operations.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair stamping dies (progressive, line, and transfer).
Disassemble and reassemble dies for repair and preventive maintenance.
Sharpen, grind, and polish tool components using surface grinders and other precision equipment.
Identify and correct die performance issues such as misalignment, excessive wear, and dimensional inaccuracies.
Assist with die tryout and setup on stamping presses when required.
Maintain detailed documentation of repairs and modifications.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure die performance meets specifications.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of experience working in Tool & Die Repair within a stamping environment.
Proficient in reading blueprints and die drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Skilled in the use of manual machining equipment (grinders, mills, lathes).
Experience with progressive, line, and transfer dies.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to work overtime or off-shifts as needed.
