## Program Context

Voice Up announces a national partnership supporting retired professional athletes from one of the world's leading athletic brands. This collaboration connects aspiring leaders in high school, college, and graduate school with retired elite athletes to develop positive social impact projects that connect communities to purpose.

## Position Overview

Join Voice Up's initiative connecting emerging leaders with retired professional athletes to collaboratively design community-focused projects addressing mental health challenges while discovering authentic purpose through structured conversations and shared action.

## Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with retired athletes on social impact project development

- Support mentorship connections between students and athlete partners

- Facilitate joint planning sessions for community initiatives

- Document project outcomes and impact stories

- Research resources for purpose-driven community projects

- Assist in organizing collaborative workshops and presentations

## Learning Objectives

- Master collaborative project development with elite athletes

- Design social impact initiatives connecting people to purpose

- Facilitate meaningful partnerships across generational lines

- Apply evidence-based community engagement approaches

- Build multi-generational team coordination skills

## Three Ways to Participate

### **1. Volunteer Track (5-10 hours/week)**

Contribute your passion on a flexible schedule while gaining experience and building your network in sports advocacy and community development.

### **2. Academic Credit Track (Hours based on university requirements)**

Earn academic credit through your university's internship program while developing practical skills - we'll work with your institution to meet specific requirements.

### **3. Stipend Track (10-15 hours/week, funding dependent)**

Receive compensation while gaining intensive experience. **Potential $1,000 stipend for 8-week program completion (subject to funding availability).**
