Checkerboard Area Health System has 5 clinics that are covered by all providers. Every effort is made to maintain consistent coverage at all 5 clinics, so provider may only be placed at 2 or 3 locations per week. A small single wide mobile home is available for providers. The mobile home is fully furnished. Providers need only provide their own groceries. Maid service is not available. Hospital hours are from 8 am - 7 pm to accommodate community members who do not want to take off work. All 3 of these clinics have small drug rooms and the provider dispenses all medications. All providers are assigned a medical assistant who travels with them and is responsible for referrals, lab letters, etc.
