Sewing Machine Repair Technician

Job Description

Rocky Mountain Sewing & Vacuum is currently seeking individuals with experience in the repair of electro-mechanical devices to join our service team to repair home sewing machines. Ideal candidates will either have direct knowledge of sewing machine repair OR experience in the repair of similar mechanical devices such as printers, copiers, ATMs, appliances, etc.

Rocky Mountain Sewing & Vacuum Centers have been committed to sewing and vacuum needs since 2008. We started with two retail location specializing in sewing machines and vacuum cleaners. Since then we have grown to 4 retail locations in the Denver area and Colorado Springs.

At Rocky Mountain Sewing & Vacuum we back up everything we sell with expert technical service. Our staff of full time technicians are professionally trained to make sure your machine keeps running like new. We guarantee the satisfaction on every service we perform. We are currently seeking individuals to join our dedicated service team.

Main responsibilities include:

Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving maintenance and repair issues on a variety of home sewing machines.

Maintaining current technical knowledge and continuously working to expand knowledge of new technology and equipment through manufacturer training

Ability to work a consistent 40 hour work week and occasional overtime Monday-Friday

Ensuring a high level of client satisfaction by meeting customers' needs in a courteous, timely, and cost-effective manner

Qualifications for this role include:

Prior service experience on sewing machines is not required, but is a plus

Ability to read and interpret documents such as service manuals, parts catalogs, circuit diagrams, and operating & maintenance instructions

Skilled computer knowledge & PC proficient

Digital electronic knowledge

Excellent time management skills required

Self-motivated and results-focused

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Good interpersonal skills

Exceptionally skilled in organization, attention to detail and effective prioritization of duties

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to lift and up to 50 poundsCompany Description
