Job Description
We’re a growing LED lighting manufacturer seeking a motivated, people-oriented Sales Representative to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to become the first dedicated salesperson at our company, helping shape our sales strategy while building lasting relationships with contractors and select resellers.
What You’ll Do
Proactively prospect and onboard new contractor clients
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing contractors, resellers, and manufacturer partners
Support contractor sales efforts by helping them present lighting options to their clients
Assist with lighting layout planning for residential and commercial projects
Periodically visit job sites and client offices (4–6 trips per year)
Attend a small number of industry trade shows (spring and fall)
Work primarily from our office, with flexibility for remote work when appropriate
Report directly to the company owner/CEO, providing regular updates on client activity and sales growth

Growth in contractor relationships and sales volume
Increased reorder frequency and customer satisfaction
Meaningful contribution to our product rollout and client support strategy
Who You Are
Experienced in B2B sales, ideally with contractors, builders, or trades
Self-starter who enjoys both hunting new business and building long-term partnerships
Comfortable learning technical details—lighting or electrical experience a plus
Able to balance office work, remote flexibility, and occasional travel
