Telecommunications Project Engineer

Trillium Construction is hiring for a Telecommunications Project Engineer in Worthington, OH to help oversee the installation of new fiber optic infrastructure lines.

This role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements.

Duties:

-Report to and assist SR. Project Manager with Capital and -Legal Mandate relocations.

-Establish, manage, service customer relationships.

-Create and review bid and contract documents.

-Understand and ensure compliance with contract documents specific to AT&Ts guidelines

-Distribute project documents to field personnel and support/monitor -Foreman’s daily construction activities.

-Maintain project schedule with the customer and drive construction crews to exceed internal and external expectations.

-Process material and contractor invoicing. Initialize and track periodic project billing.

-Track project budgets for Engineering, Construction and Materials.

-Manage and process all change order requests for both the Engineering and Construction vendors. Authorize change order work and distribute appropriate documentation.

-Responsible for all project records and contract closeout procedures

-Facilitate and support safety program initiatives

Compensation:

-Hourly rate between $35/hr - $40/hr

Qualifications:

-BS in Project or Construction Management or equivalent experience

-Proficiency in MS Office software applications.

-Strong time management skills, prioritizing work, multi-tasking capabilities

-Ability to communicate in a professional, effective manner

-Travel to project sites will be required. Ability to work on the road utilizing mobile

technology.

-Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

-Excellent negotiating skills

-Understanding of construction cost tracking

-Experience with telecommunications and/or utility industry
