Our client, a cornerstone of Ottawaâ s home building market, is seeking a Property Maintenance Service Technician to join their team.

The Property Maintenance Service Technician will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and care of multiple facilities across the city, ensuring all work is carried out in a professional and timely manner. Key responsibilities include performing painting and drywall repairs, flooring installations, painting, and handling light HVAC troubleshooting and repairs. The role also involves electrical and lock installation or repairs, minor plumbing and carpentry tasks, as well as appliance installation and maintenance. In addition, the technician will manage inventory control and respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance needs, on a rotational basis, ensuring the continued safety and functionality of all properties. Ability to work on various residential and commercial sites is a must, and access to a car is required.

The ideal candidate will have a secondary diploma and post-secondary/skilled trade of equivalent work experience with 2+ years of maintenance type role, correcting and resolving various problems related to water, lighting, HVAC and other systems. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle. Strong written and verbal skills are essential to this role, as well as conflict resolution skills. The position will have an on-call requirement. Proven ability to work with residential and commercial tenants in a professional manner is expected.
