Psychiatric Detox RN – Adult Chemical Dependency Unit
Shift: Days (7a–7p)
Weekly Gross Pay Estimated: $2,281/week
Hourly Rate: $63.36/hr
Requirements:
Permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the facility

Behavioral Health experience required
Must be willing to float to Inpatient Adult Behavioral Health and Detox units
No licensure or background hits will be accepted
Certifications required:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
Must demonstrate competency in restraint/seclusion protocols
Unit Overview:
The Adult Chemical Dependency Unit provides care for patients aged 15 and older with physiological dependencies on alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and other substances. Many patients also present with co-occurring psychiatric conditions such as depression, psychosis, and bipolar disorder.
This unit operates 24/7 and is located on the D4 wing of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. Nurses are responsible for direct and indirect patient care, including:
Admission interviews and physical assessments
Care planning and implementation
Documentation and patient education
Facilitating therapeutic groups
