DAY DRIVERS: START TIMES 05:00 - 09:00

NIGHT DRIVERS: START TIMES:30

ALL SHIFTS WORKING 5 DAYS ON, 3 DAYS OFF

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Severn Beach, Bristol.

Rates of Pay:

Day Drivers:

Basic: £18.74 per hour

Saturday: £20.84

Sunday: £21.89

Night Drivers

Basic: £19.79

Saturday: £20.84

Sunday: £21.89

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

RDC or depot / store deliveries (some manual handling required)

Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly

Adhere to traffic laws and regulations

Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence

Have a minimum of two years experience driving CE vehicles

No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes

Have a valid CPC Card & UK Digi Card

Must be able to speak and read a good level of English

Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills

Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations

Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

Experience driving any commercial vehicles

Previous experience with multi drop deliveries

Training

Driver's Assessment must be completed

After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction

Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
