Overview The HVAC, Lead is responsible of supervising, coordinating and recording all logistical and technical details for the HVAC trade shop in conjunction with all planned and scheduled activities authorized by the trades manager and director.

Responsibilities * Coordinate, supervise HVAC maintenance activities, advises, orients, trains and evaluates all HVAC personnel assigned to work on the campus for or on behalf of Thompson Facilities Services.
Will effectively utilize the work order system to input, track, and close tickets.
* May perform work of lower-level HVAC technicians.
* Maintains and secure all HVAC equipment, inventory, and supplies.
* Provide guidance and counseling to individual HVAC Shop members, TFS units, and other client-based groups in planning and developing preventive maintenance programs, purchases, repairs, and replacement of HVAC equipment.
* Responsible for assisting in the coordinating and evaluating arrangements for scheduled HVAC events on the campus during the evenings and on weekends.
* Prepares and submits to the Manager, a daily preparation of the HVAC Shop report, indicating specific problems or situations occurring during the evenings and weekends along with conditions of the building upon closing.
Actual report will be planned and discussed within unit.
* Assist the manager and director in the development of procedures, policies and regulations pertaining to all phases of the HVAC operations.
* Update and monitors on a daily basis all information regarding HVAC repairs and activities on the campus.
* Submit annual reports to the trades manager on the activities, progress and accomplished goals and other reports, when necessary.
* Attend to emergencies when necessary.
* Support and enforce all policies of the university, as well as university health and safety regulations and guidelines.
* May operate Thompson Facilities Services maintained campus vehicles to drive equipment to shops for repairs, and general servicing as required.
Qualifications * 5 years or more of experience in similar positions.
* Valid driver's license from state of residence.
* Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with extreme weather fluctuations.
* Basic computer skills.
EDUCATION HVAC Journeyman's license or equivalent experiance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for coordinating and supervising HVAC maintenance activities.
* Advises, orients, trains and evaluates all HVAC * Shop personnel assigned to work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, pull, push, climb ladders, twist, and walk for a minimum of three hours on the campus terrain.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
using safe lifting techniques.
WORKING CONDITIONS This position operates in an industrial plant and collegial environment, potential to work near and with moving mechanical parts; with regular exposure to fumes, dirt, airborne particles, hazardous materials and outdoor weather conditions.
* This role may require working from stairs, ladders or elevated platforms.
* This is an essential position which may require work during inclement weather, evenings holidays and weekends.
* This position includes participation in the On-Call rotation.
