Division Steel Dynamics Responsibilities * Rotating shift work including nights and weekends * Welding, cutting and fabrication * Maintain all mechanical systems related to the rolling process * Troubleshoot and repair of high-pressure hydraulic systems * Rigging, crane and mobile equipment operation * Read and interpret blueprints and piping diagrams * Personal tools required to perform routine maintenance and repair * Work with operations and maintenance groups to ensure continued production * Work with computer-based maintenance systems Qualifications Required * Safety Oriented * High School diploma or equivalent * Prior mechanical maintenance experience in some or all of the following areas: Welding & fabricating, Industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, manual & automatic lubrication systems, Water systems, pipe fitting, Rigging, Bearing & coupling replacement, Ability to read prints & schematics.
* Strong willingness to learn * Understanding of physics (heat transfer, fluid flow, force and power transmission) * Understanding of mathematics (geometry, trigonometry) * Willingness to work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime * Strong teamwork focus * Ability to work without direct supervision * Ability to multi-task & prioritize work assignments with production needs Preferred * At least two years experience in industrial maintenance Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
