Role:

The Translator serves as the primary point of communication for members and potential members whose primary language is Spanish. This role provides interpretation and translation services across multiple communication channels including voice, video, in-person, and email to ensure members receive accurate and timely information about Credit Union products, services, and transactions.

In addition to interpretation responsibilities, this role provides operational and back-office support through the Support Services department by assisting with member account maintenance, research, transaction processing, and other assigned support functions. This position is key to ensuring a seamless and inclusive member experience while also supporting internal operations.

Perferred:

**Native-level proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).

**Knowledge of financial industry fundamentals and Credit Union processes.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience:

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education:

A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills:

Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills:

- Native-level proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to operate standard office and business equipment and software.

- Clear and professional communication across multiple media formats.

- Knowledge of financial industry fundamentals and Credit Union processes.

- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Awareness of fraud, forgery, and security processes related to member identification and transactions.

Work Environment:

This role is based in the Support Services department and provides services through both remote delivery channels and in-person interactions.
