Lab Tech

Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description As a Lab Technician, you will work in one of six labs to perform analysis on gas for impurities.

Your primary responsibilities will include connecting gas cylinders to systems, running analyses, uploading data into the LIM system, and disconnecting gas cylinders.

The role requires the use of GC (galaxy/compass) controlling software and involves handling hazardous chemicals in a clean and organized chemistry lab.

Responsibilities + Perform analysis on gas for impurities.

+ Connect and disconnect gas cylinders to and from systems, a process that may take up to 30 minutes each.

+ Upload data into the LIM system.

+ Perform routine maintenance and calibration on analytical equipment.

+ Calculate, prepare, and fill medical and specialty gas mixtures and pure gases using partial pressure and gravimetric techniques.

+ Analyze products for purity to ensure conformance to specifications.

+ Process cylinders for shipment, including painting, labeling, and preparing certificates of analysis.

+ Maintain all quality control records and other required documentation to comply with company, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

+ Test and certify incoming raw materials for production.

+ Handle and load cylinders as required.

+ Participate in all required safety activities and maintain a safe work environment.

Essential Skills + Laboratory skills + Chemistry knowledge + Quality control practices + Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) + Chromatography expertise + GC Controlling Software proficiency Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, OR 2 years of analytical laboratory experience.

+ Toxic chemical handling experience preferred.

+ Entry-level graduates with chemical handling experience from school or internship are welcome.

Work Environment The work environment is a very clean and organized chemistry lab, where you will handle extremely hazardous chemicals.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

If you perform well as a contractor, there is potential for permanent employment.

The position includes benefits such as 8 paid holidays and 40 hours of PTO for every 6 months of tenure.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waverly, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
