Description:

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing in-process and incoming inspections of composite and machined parts, circuit card assemblies, commercial parts, and related documentation to verify conformance to standards, specifications, drawings, and other requirements.

This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of inspection methods, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

Perform in-process and incoming inspections on flight vehicle composite components, machined parts, and assemblies using detailed drawings and established processes.

Inspect machined and composite parts for dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments, templates, jigs, and fixtures.

Visually inspect composite parts and assemblies for voids, porosity, delaminations, and other physical characteristics.

Examine products for compliance with workmanship standards, proper installation of components, hardware, and wiring.

Document production non-conformances in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes.

Collaborate with quality engineers in developing inspection requirements, techniques, and implementing quality plans.

Review new or modified drawings and work instructions for compliance with quality standards, recommending changes as needed.

Assist in evaluating defect data, identifying trends, and recommending process improvements.

Verify that final inspections and data packages for product shipments are complete.

Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformances, and reports.

Perform other duties as assigned. Requirement/Must Have (Hard Skills):

Minimum 4 years of experience in a high-tech development or production manufacturing environment, or an Associate s Degree in a technical discipline.

Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments, templates, jigs, and fixtures.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings utilizing GD&T principles.

Computer skills for documentation, scanning, uploading, data entry, and reporting.

Prior mechanical knowledge and ability to match specifications to supplier drawings. Requirement/Must Have (Soft Skills):

Experience receiving/inspecting parts and assemblies.

Background in defense/government program Quality Assurance or aerospace manufacturing.

Familiarity with qualification testing (vibration, thermal, thermal vacuum testing).

Existing DoD clearance with a current 5-year update or CE. Deal Breakers (Would Not Consider):

Inability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Not meeting required vision abilities (close, distance, color, depth perception corrective lenses acceptable). Qualification and Education:

Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred: Associate s Degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
