Position Summary:
Under guidance of the Adaptive Program Manager, the Rays Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting with coordination of workouts for Rays Swim Team within the Adaptive Department, coordinating set up and tear down from practices, and planning and executing swim meets and special events. This role works directly with athletes with disabilities, using inclusive, adaptive coaching strategies to support skill development, safety, and meet readiness. General Responsibilities:
Coordinate on deck workout set up and tear down for practices;
Assist with writing workouts according to established training plan for individual athletes;
Complete practice attendance log;
Communicate any customer service, safety, team or other issues to Head Coach immediately;
Provide for the safety of all swimmers in assigned zone by actively scanning at all times;
Respond to emergencies in accordance with RBAC Emergency Action Plan; and
Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with athletes, boosters, parents, and other RBAC staff members.
