Senior Avionics Engineer - Airline Experience Required
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Engineer to lead and develop avionics systems for various aircraft. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance in all avionics systems and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop avionics systems for aircraft, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Create and maintain technical documentation for avionics systems, including schematics, integration plans, and maintenance manuals.
Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve avionics-related issues during aircraft maintenance and repair.
Review and approve engineering orders related to avionics systems modifications and installations.
Conduct data analysis for performance evaluation and improvement of avionics systems.
Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations by providing timely solutions and action plans to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors to ensure the timely procurement of components and systems.
Participate in audits and inspections to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance of avionics systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
FAA A&P and/or FCC license preferred not required.
5+ years of experience as an Avionics Engineer in the aviation industry.
Strong knowledge of technical documentation, aircraft systems, and airline operations.
Experience with Engineering Orders and Data Management in an aviation context is preferred.
Familiarity with maintenance procedures, aircraft repair, and overhaul processes.
Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness standards is crucial.
Proficiency in tools and software such as InForm, IDMR, Tableau, Trax, and MBF is a plus.
